Frank Sharp began working in the fields of pattern recognition and machine learning at Texas Instruments, where he developed software for infrared imaging systems. Later, at Voice Control Systems, Frank served as Principal Scientist for speech recognition, where he lead a team of engineers in developing speech-enabled products and services. He has also worked in telecom, signal processing and medical device software development.
Frank has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Ryan Gaspar, Associate
Ryan's most recent experience in the field of Machine Learning has come through the Fellowship.AI program. Through real-world applications, he has had exposure to problems from language detection and sentiment analysis of text to computer vision and image labeling. While a proponent of self-teaching and self-learning, he brings years of experience in several industries including consumer electronics, e-commerce, and networking. Before transitioning into Data science, he worked as a hardware engineer in addition to being a PoC between C-level executives and in-house Engineering teams. As a product manager in the eCommerce space, he managed platforms that are used today by the major online retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Target) for content management and analytics.
Ryan's background is in Electrical Engineering and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with an emphasis on RF and wireless communications.
Oren Tevet, Associate
Oren is a data scientist and biomedical engineer who is passionate about performing deep-dive analysis into business problems and providing actionable insights. He brings years of research experience, and a passion for learning and teaching. He enjoys combining data from diverse sources and ideas from different disciplines to uncover hidden value in data.
As a fellow in the Fellowship.AI program, Oren worked on a computer vision platform using convolutional neural networks. He has also deployed deep learning-as-a-service tool with TensorFlow, built recommendation systems, and worked on Natural Language Processing problems.
He holds a B.Sc in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
